Cam FM are supporting a local band who have made it to the final of a national competition! Here's more from the band, Shooting Suns, along with information on how to vote!

Shooting Suns have reached the final of BANDAPP's national competition to find two unsigned acts to support "Freeze the Atlantic" and "Hundred Reasons" in their first ever showcase concert. They now have until Friday midnight to get as many votes as possible in order to win this incredible opportunity. Head tohttp://www.facebook.com/questions/10151490800109548/ to give them your vote and support music in Cambridge.

Recently formed and ready to hit the ground running, Shooting Suns are a band from Cambridge University whose music has been described as 'edgy acoustic soft rock'.

Lead singer and guitarist James Christie started his musical career as a solo singer-songwriter, being featured on local BBC Introducing radio as well as performing at several festivals and releasing his EP 'Just In Case' in 2012. Having schooled and performed with James, Edward Taylor (keys, guitar) introduced him to college friend Ceri Jones (vocals, bass) in summer 2012, and Shooting Suns was born in September, the trio bringing together beautiful harmonies, driving piano and beautiful guitar riffs. Starting afresh and exploring new avenues in songwriting and music making, Shooting Suns rehearse and record in their dingy student rooms but emerge in local venues with energy, rhythm and a passion to perform. 2013 brings the addition of Will Sheldon (drums), giving the band a whole new level of sound to play with.
