Did you know the Smithsonian Museum has its own record label? The non-profit Smithsonian Folkways label was founded in 1987 after absorbing the Folkways label collection of Moses Asch, and it's been dedicated to preserving folk and traditional music from around the world ever since.
Each week, I'll let you in on what I've discovered from their collection, with some artist biographies alongside our travels.
