The Man in the Lift

A lift is a place that unites a building. Everyone has to take the lift if you live high enough up. But, let's face it, lifts are awkward places: no one looks at each other and no one talks... So when John arrives to repair the lift of an urban tower block and starts speaking to the residents, no one is sure exactly how to behave. Listening in to the conversations that happen in this tiny space and the connections that begin to form, we watch the humble lift become what it could be: the centre of the community.
